Starrynitebikes

The first thing I want to mention is that when I rang about the sizing, a member of staff took the time to talk me through it properly, which I did not expect. I am a bit particular about these things, so I appreciated the patience. The bike rack I eventually ordered arrived well packed and went onto the car without any trouble. The whole business was handled courteously from start to finish and I have no complaints at all.

Going to say it straight: the tyres from them were the best I found for my hybrid. I had a look at two other places and one was cheaper but the reviews were mixed on puncture resistance. These ones have been great so far. The only niggle is that the price is a bit higher than some other sellers, but I think it is worth it for something that stops me getting stranded.

Quick one from my phone. Got the same pump as the one in the big chain but this was cheaper and came two days early. Pump is fine so far.

I needed a light for my evening rides after I started at university and the cheap ones I had kept dying. This was my first time buying from them and the checkout was easy. The light arrived quickly, works well and is bright enough for the dark lanes near me. Happy with it.

My old lock got nicked from outside work so I needed a replacement quickly. Ordered on my phone during my lunch break and it was at my door the next afternoon. The lock is solid and feels a lot tougher than the one I lost. Sorted.

I ride most days so I know my kit, and I compared this brake pad set against the usual makers before buying. The pads are as good as the big names in my experience and the price is a little lower. Delivery was slightly slower than I would like, but nothing that stopped me riding.

Bought a pack of inner tubes, the usual size for road tyres. They are the presta valve type which is what I wanted, and the rubber feels thin but they hold air well. Slightly fiddly to find the right size in the menu but the description was accurate. Fair value for a spare pack.

Got a pack of inner tubes for my commute, the usual road size. Arrived quick, fitted them no bother, and they've held air fine so far. Easy site to order from too, didn't have to faff about. Good value and I'd get them again.

Bought a chain and cassette to swap over on my road bike, having fitted a few of these before. The chain is a decent match for the cassette and runs quiet once it is set up properly. The packaging was a bit flimsy and one link was slightly stiff out of the box, but a quick clean sorted it. Good value for what you get.

Compared to the bike shop by me this is way cheaper for the same brake levers, and the site was easier to use than the other places I looked at. Arrived in a couple of days. Only thing is I had to message them about a size thing but they were quick to reply.

We were going away and needed a rear rack to carry the kids bikes on the car, so I went looking. Tried a few places and this one had a rack that fits our tow bar without any faff. It turned up in good time and the fitting instructions were clear enough that my husband did not need to ask me anything. Very pleased with it.

Ordered a replacement brake caliper and it was a fair price. The part fits and works fine. The delivery took longer than the site suggested and I had to chase them once, which was a nuisance when the bike was off the road. In the end the part is good and the price was fair, but I would have liked a clearer timescale up front.

Started cycling to work and my old helmet was falling apart. Ordered one here and it turned up quick, fits nice and it doesnt look too cheesy. Happy with it honestly, would get stuff from them again.

I have bought from this place for years and it used to be my first port of call. The last two orders have been a letdown. The parts were what I asked for but the replies to my emails took several days, and one order arrived with the wrong bolts, which meant another wait. I do hope they sort their customer care out because I would rather stay loyal.

Honestly the handlebar tape they sent is fine and does what it needs to, but I expected it to feel a bit thicker for the price. It arrived in good time and the order was simple to place. I think I would look around a bit more next time before settling on them.

Got a front and rear light set from them for about a tenner less than the big name shops. They work fine, the batteries last ages and the mounts are simple enough to fit without the manual. Nothing flashy but for commuting in the dark they do the job and the price is hard to argue with.

The brake pads were the first thing I noticed, they were a good few quid cheaper than the other sites I looked at and the listing gave me the compatibility details I needed. I compared three places before buying and this one came out ahead on price and on how easy the checkout was. Delivery was quick and the pads were packed properly, no issues there. Happy with it.

Compared with my local bike shop, the saddle I got from them cost less and arrived in a few days, which beat the two week wait I had been quoted locally. I had been to a couple of other online sellers too and this was the one with the clearest sizing guide. The saddle is comfortable on longer rides and fits my old bracket with no fuss.

Being honest, the first thing that struck me was that the saddle took nearly ten days to reach me, which is longer than I was told at checkout. When I emailed to ask where it was, the reply came back after a couple of days, polite enough but not especially quick. The saddle itself is comfortable and well made, and the price was reasonable compared with what I had seen elsewhere. I'd order again, though I'd allow extra time.
