Roman Originals

I bought the oak sideboard as a replacement for my old MDF one, and I know my wood, so I checked the joints as soon as it arrived. The dovetails are clean and the drawer runners are smooth enough. The finish is a touch thinner on the top edge than I'd like, but it's not a dealbreaker. Delivery was a day later than the date they gave, which was a bit annoying, but the team kept me updated.

I needed a birthday present fast for my boyfriend's mum, and the site had a few things in stock for next day. I ordered on the Monday afternoon and it arrived Tuesday, which saved me. The candle holder is heavier than I expected and the wrapping was nice enough to not need extra paper. Price was fair for what it is. Couldn't ask for more with such short notice.

I needed a replacement piece for the sitting room after my husband passed, and I wanted something that would suit the old furniture. I'm not much of one for the internet but I found the website easy enough to use, and the staff answered my questions patiently when I rang. The item arrived exactly as described and I'm very pleased with it.

Compared with the high street chain I usually go to, this was a far more considered purchase. The piece felt heavier and better made than the one I'd been looking at elsewhere, and the price came out about the same once I'd added the delivery charge on the other site. The order took under a week and the box was well protected. I'd happily order from them again for another room in the house.

I bought the velvet cushions for the sofa after comparing a few options online, and these had the richest colour of the lot. I'd looked at a couple of other sites first, and this one had clearer photos and a sensible price. The cushions are plump and the zips feel sturdy. They arrived in a day or two and were nicely packed. I'm very happy with them.

We needed a new mirror for the hall after the old one cracked, and I wanted something that would not look out of place with the Victorian tiles. I placed the order on a Tuesday and it was dispatched on the Thursday, which was perfectly reasonable. The mirror itself is well made and the frame is solid. My only small reservation is that the price was a touch higher than I'd seen elsewhere, though I don't begrudge it much.

Went with them for a bookshelf and it's really good quality for the price. Ordering was dead easy and it arrived in a few days. Happy customer, would order again!

Compared with the discount sofa I had been looking at, this one has noticeably firmer seat cushions, which suits my back better. The discount option was cheaper by some way, I won't pretend otherwise. Delivery was a little slower than I would have liked, about ten days, but the driver was courteous and carried it in. The fabric is hard wearing and brushes clean nicely. I think it was worth the extra for a piece I will use every day.

I bought the walnut side table for my bedroom, and I was quite taken with the finish when it arrived. The wood has a lovely warmth to it and it sits neatly beside the bed without taking up too much room. Ordering was simple, I had a confirmation email the same afternoon, and it came well packed with no damage at all.

ordered a mirror for my flat and it came way quicker than i thought it would. the box was a bit beat up on one corner but the mirror was fine. the hanging hooks took a bit of figuring out though. still really happy with it

I had been looking at a cheaper alternative from a discount retailer, but the joints on that one looked flimsy in the photos. This one has proper dovetail joints and the drawers run smoothly on their runners. I've bought furniture for years so I know the difference, and this is a clear step up. Happy with it.

I bought the bedside lamp to replace a tired old one in the spare room, and the brushed metal base looks much smarter than I expected. I'd looked at a few options first, and this one felt better value. The switch is nice and firm and the light is soft. It arrived on time and everything was present.

Honestly really good. Ordered a bedside table on my phone at night and it turned up in a few days. Looks decent in my room. Would get something else from them.

I needed a gift quickly for my niece's birthday and ordered on my phone during my lunch break. It was simple to check out and the item came the next day. Really happy with it.

Compared with the flatpack bookcase I had been eyeing up, this one is a much sturdier piece for the money. The shelves don't bow under the weight of my books, which was the problem I'd had with the last one. The site gave clear dimensions and I was able to check the fit before buying. Delivery came in a well-padded box and nothing was damaged. I'm glad I went with this one in the end.

Ordered a pendant light for the hallway on my first visit and I was surprised how quickly it turned up. Packed well too, nothing rattled. Would buy from them again.

I'm delighted with the armchair I ordered for my reading corner, which is exactly what I had in mind. The upholstery is soft yet supportive and the colour has held up well after a few weeks in the sunlight. Ordering was straightforward and I received a helpful email with the delivery date. I would have no hesitation in buying from them again.

Its alright, the item is nice enough but I thought it was a bit dear for what it is. Delivery was fine and it turned up when they said. Would maybe look around first.
