Better rate than the usual app

Compared with the usual payment app this gives a noticeably better rate on euros, so I switched my regular transfers over. The only thing I'd change is the cut off time, which is earlier than I expected, so a payment after lunch waits until next day. Otherwise it's quick and tidy.

Set up a standing transfer

I set up a standing transfer to my daughter in Canada through this service, which was simple enough once I'd found the right page. Customer support were patient with my questions about the reference field. The rate is fair, though not the cheapest I've seen.

first transfer went smoothly

First time using them and honestly it's easier than I thought it would be. I sent money to my cousin in Manchester to cover her deposit and it arrived the same afternoon. The fees are clear on the screen before you confirm, which I liked a lot. Only thing is I had to check my email a few times to find the confirmation.

Took ages to confirm

Ordered a transfer on my phone on the bus and it said pending for nearly two days. Then the money turned up fine, so no real harm done. Support didn't reply until the next day either.

Better than the bank

Compared with the high street bank this is far cheaper for moving money abroad, and I have been using them for years now. The transfers take a day or two and I've never had one go missing. The site is easy to use once you've set it up.

Sending money to my mum every month

I bought a standing order service a few years back to send money to my mum in Leeds every month, and I'm still with them. Honestly it's been smooth from the start, the payments arrive the next working day and I've had no issues. The price is fine for what it does and I like getting a text when each one goes through. I'd recommend it to anyone with a regular payment, and I've already mentioned it to my brother.

the rate beat my bank by a mile

The exchange rate they gave me on the day was better than anything my bank offered, which I only worked out after checking both. I sent euros to my brother in Lyon and it landed the same afternoon. The rate shows on the screen before you confirm so there were no nasty surprises.

Best of the ones I tried

I compared three services before picking this one for sending money to my flatmate in Berlin, and this came out on top. The fees were the lowest and the rate was the best. Transfers have arrived the next day every time so far.

The fee calculator on the site

Why I needed it was to send regular money to my parents in Ghana without losing a chunk to fees every month. The fee calculator on the site is the thing I use most, it shows the total before I commit. Transfers reach them within a working day.

Way better than my old bank

Compared to my old bank this is miles quicker, I've been using them for about four years now and never had a problem with a payment going astray. The app is simple enough that I don't need to ring anyone, which suits me fine. Money usually lands the same day when I've sent it to my daughter, and the rates are easy to understand without any small print hiding things. I'd stick with them.

bought the travel card top up

I bought the travel card top up in the spring and it took three days to reach my account, which was longer than I expected. Once it arrived everything worked fine and I've used it on two trips since. The price is about what I'd pay elsewhere. Customer support told me the delay was down to a bank check, which was fair enough, though nobody warned me beforehand.

needed to send money for my son

I needed to send money to my son at university in Edinburgh, not abroad, and this was the only option my bank would let me use without a long wait. Setup was fiddly and I had to upload my ID twice before it accepted it. The transfers themselves have been fine, but the fees are higher than I'd like for a domestic payment.

Good value for regular use

Honestly this is the best option I found, after comparing three other services for sending money home. The fees are lower and the tracking tells you where your money is at every step. Every transfer I've made has arrived inside a day.

sorted the rent before the landlord chased

I pay my landlord in Porto every month and the bank was taking a fortune per payment. This works out a lot less and the money gets there on the date I set. I checked the fee breakdown on the site before I signed up and it matched what I was charged.

The account opened same day

The account opened the same day I signed up, which surprised me as I'd expected days of waiting. I use it for paying my tradesmen in Cornwall. Everything works and the statements are easy to read.

Not as cheap as the old provider

Compared with the firm I used before, this costs a little more per transfer, but the account setup is much easier. I have been sending money to my daughter in Canada for a while now. The transfer itself still arrives on time, which is what matters to me.

Needed a cheap way to pay rent abroad

I needed a cheaper way to pay my landlord in Lisbon, as my bank charged a fortune for each payment. The sign up took a few days because they wanted a second proof of address, which was a bit of a pain. Once I was verified the transfers have been reliable and the rate is good.

needed it for my pension

I needed a simple way to move my pension payments into a new account after my husband passed, and this seemed the easiest option I could find. You don't have to be terribly computer minded to get through the sign up, though I did need a little help with one of the security questions. Customer support were courteous when I rang them.

cheaper than the high street for regular transfers

I send money to my mum in Belfast every month and a few pounds a time adds up. Their fee for the transfer came out well under what the bank charged me for the same job, and I can see the full cost before I confirm. The fee calculator on the site made it easy to compare. Setting it up took about ten minutes and I haven't had to touch it since.
