Hiatt Hardware

Got a pack of wall plugs and screws, does the job. Checkout was dead easy and it turned up quick. Only thing is the screws are a bit short for thicker boards, so check first.

I was moving into my first flat and needed a basic toolkit plus some curtain rails. Never ordered from them before so I was a bit nervous. The checkout was simple, the kit arrived in two days and everything I needed was in the box. Felt like good value for a first purchase.

Looked at several sites for a set of outdoor lights and the prices here were the best I found. Bought the solar stake kind and they've been working well so far. Order was simple and it came fast.

I'd used a different site for a shower head before and this one was less of a pain to order from, the filters on the search helped me find the right thread size. The first delivery went to the wrong address because I typed my postcode badly, and getting it redirected took a couple of emails and a few days. Once it was sorted the shower head was fine and the price was good for what it is.

Ordered a replacement shelf bracket set and it arrived a week later than the site said. Checkout was quick and the price was fair. Not the end of the world but I had to chase it.

Used another site for the same bit of kit last month and this was way quicker to order from. Checkout took about a minute on my phone. Delivery came next day, no fuss. Happy to go with them again.

Ordered a set of cable clips and a little tub of screws on a Tuesday night and they turned up the following Monday which felt slow for something so small. Prices were fine and the site was easy to use on my phone, the search got me to the right bits quickly. Would probably order again if I'm not in a rush though.

I have found them a sensible place to buy my bits and bobs, and they are always clear about what I am getting. My recent order of garden twine and secateur blades was packed carefully and arrived with a delivery note that was easy to follow. I did not need to contact anyone, which suits me well. The prices are fair and I shall certainly return.

The close up photos sold it for me. Looked at three different sites for a set of cabinet knobs and this one showed the fixings clearly. Came in the right finish and the screws were included. Easy choice.

I ordered a replacement mixer tap for the kitchen sink. It arrived well protected and the fitting instructions were clear enough for my husband to follow. Customer care answered my question about the washers within the hour. Very satisfied, thank you.

Our boiler filter packed in on a Sunday and I needed a replacement quick. Ordered from my phone while waiting for the kettle. It came the next afternoon, though the box was a bit bashed. The part itself fits fine and the price was lower than the plumbers' merchant.

Our old hose reel cracked and I needed a replacement before the weekend. Ordered on my phone during my lunch break and it was at the door the next morning. The reel is a bit lighter than I expected but works fine. Saved a trip to the shops.

The roller arrived bent, the cardboard tube had been crushed in transit. Still usable once I straightened the frame but not how I expected. Got the thing for less than the shop charged, which is why I stuck with it.

Picked up a bench clamp for my woodwork, the heavy duty type with the deep throat. I've used plenty of these over the years and this one holds firm with no slip. The jaws are well faced so nothing gets marked. Delivery was tidy and it arrived ahead of the date.

Tried a couple of other sites for a set of drill bits first and they were either out of stock or charging more. This lot had the full range in one go and the bits are a proper quality steel. Came well packed.

Compared it to the big DIY chain down the road and Hiatt came out ahead on range. I'd been after a specific set of hinges that the other place never had in stock. The listing said exactly what I got and the tracking was spot on. Only tiny gripe is the checkout asks for too many details.

We needed fence panels for the back garden after the storm took two out, and budget was tight. Found a pack here that was a fair bit under what the garden centres were charging. They arrived on time and the panels were sturdy enough. Good value for what we paid.

Honestly the search bar is what sold me. You type half a word and it gets what you mean, found a drill bit I'd been hunting for ages. Checkout was quick too. Will be back.

What stands out to me is the way the stock levels show on each product page, so you know before ordering. I have been a customer for a good while now and the service has stayed consistent. My last order of door hinges came nicely packed, though one of the screw packs was short by a few, which was a little annoying. A quick message sorted it out and the replacements came without any bother.

Had a look at a few sites for a replacement cistern valve and this one had more options in stock. The one I picked was the exact fit for our toilet and the instructions matched the photos. Checked the price against two rivals and it was the lowest by a fair margin.
