GATE8 Luggage

Needed a case quick for a hen do in Brighton as mine had split at the corner. Ordered on my phone in the evening, arrived by the next afternoon. Holds everything for a weekend and the compartments are sensible. Zip is smooth and the wheels roll straight on the pavement. Really pleased, thanks.

Compared with the cheap one I bought in a supermarket last year, this is much more solid. The shell doesn't dent when you bump it on the trolley and the wheels don't stick. It's a little more expensive but I think it's worth it. Only niggle is the packaging was bigger than I expected. Sizing fits my hand luggage limit.

Needed a sturdy case for work trips as my last one cracked on a train platform. I travel most weeks so the wheels and frame have to cope with a lot. This one has held up well so far and the handle still locks firmly. Delivery came through the courier without any problems.

This is the best value four wheel spinner I have found for the money. I have owned three or four over the years and the wheels on this one turn smoothly with no wobble. The telescopic handle locks firmly at every height. For a regular business traveller it does the job well and the price is fair.

The duffel is a touch dearer than similar bags I have seen elsewhere, but it is well made. The strap is comfortable and the base is reinforced. Delivery came within the week.

Honestly the wheels gave up within a month of regular use on a case I bought here. The seller's reply to my message took about four days and the returns form was fiddly to fill in. The case itself looks fine and the zips are good, but I expected better wheels for the money. Not impressed with the aftersales.

Compared with the big name cabin case I had before, this one is noticeably lighter and the wheels spin much more freely. Took it on two short-haul flights already and it's been fine.

Needed a new case for a flight tomorrow and my old one had a broken wheel. Ordered on the site at lunchtime and it turned up next morning before I'd even packed. Wheels spin nicely, zip is smooth, exactly what I wanted. Will be using them again.

I needed a suitcase for my wife's trip to visit family and asked the shop assistant on the phone to help me choose. The case is perfectly good and the zips run well. However the delivery took a little longer than the website suggested and I had to chase it up once. Still, it arrived in one piece.

Bought the soft shell expandable case as I needed something for a few short trips. It holds plenty and the zip has a second pull which is handy. Price was lower than the others I looked at. Nothing more to say, does the job.

I bought the cabin size hard shell suitcase as my first order here and wasn't sure what to expect. It arrived well wrapped and the shell has a nice matte finish that doesn't show scuffs. The lock works first time and the inside is roomier than I thought. Happy I took the chance on it.

I had been looking at a case in a department store but the price was rather steep for what it was. This one from GATE8 is considerably sturdier and the handle feels solid in the hand. The ordering process was straightforward and I'm very pleased with it. I shan't be going back to the shop.

Bought a backpack for the commute and it's comfortable enough on the shoulders. Lots of pockets, laptop sleeve fits a 15 inch easily. The zip on the front pocket is a bit stiff at first but loosens up. Delivery was quick.

Tried a few before settling on this one, the carry handle and the weight of the shell were what stood out most. The wheels roll smoothly on uneven pavements. Price was in line with the rest and I'm happy I didn't go cheaper.

Bought a travel pillow and a cover as my first order here and I was a bit worried about the fabric. The pillow is fine but the cover is thinner than I hoped and the stitching at one seam looks loose already. Delivery was quick and the returns process seemed clear if I needed it. Not terrible but I wouldn't rush to buy the cover again.

The colour is gorgeous, a proper deep green that looks nothing like the pictures make it look. Got it for a weekend away and it's so light to lift. Zip is nice too. Would get another.

The carry handle on the top is well placed and the case is noticeably lighter than the other ones I compared before buying. I looked at two other brands and a bigger name, and this came in the middle on price but beat both on weight. The wheels are quiet and the telescopic handle has no rattle. Packed well for a week and it still felt easy to lift.

I was going to buy a different make from a high street shop but this one proved the better bet. The handle is sturdy and the wheels glide well. Good value.

Super light and easy to carry up the stairs at my flat. Got it for a city break and it fitted the overhead bins fine. The wheels are quiet on pavements. Worth the price, would order again.
