EMP

I needed a longer HDMI cable to get my monitor away from the wall and most of the stuff on the high street is overpriced for what it is. The cable on here was the right spec for 4K and the gold ends look decent. Checkout took two minutes and it turned up the next morning. Nothing to complain about, it does the job I bought it for.

I ordered a phone case and a charger as my first purchase here because a mate told me about the site. The case arrived in a little padded envelope and the fit is exactly right for my phone. The charger works fine and the cable feels sturdy. The whole thing was quick and easy to put together and I'll be ordering again.

First time ordering from them and the bag I got was a bit smaller than the picture made it look. It's fine for what I use it for, just not as roomy. The checkout was easy and the bag came in the post a couple of days after I ordered, so no complaints there. Would maybe order again.

Having been a keen amateur woodworker for many years, I can say these drill bits are exactly what I wanted. The sizes are clearly marked and the steel holds an edge well. Ordering was straightforward and the parcel arrived with everything intact. I shall certainly be returning when the next need arises.

Bought a pair of running socks and the order went through but the confirmation email never came. Had to message the site twice before anyone replied and it took about four days. The socks were fine when they finally came. Would not rush to order again.

We needed a small kettle for the caravan as our old one had given up, and the choice online is quite overwhelming. The one I picked is light and fits on the hob, which was what we wanted. The delivery took longer than I expected, about nine days, and I had to ring to ask where it had got to. Once it arrived it has been working well.

Checked the other sites on my phone while waiting for the bus and this was cheaper for the same charger. Ordered on the app which was a bit slow to load but fine once it went through. Got it two days later, works fine so far.

Had a look at three or four places for a new cordless hoover head and EMP was the only one that had the exact one listed as in stock, and it was a fair bit under the others too. Ordered on a Sunday night and it turned up Wednesday, though the tracking said Tuesday so I was a bit annoyed about that. Checkout was easy enough, just a bit fiddly having to make an account first.

Honestly still my first stop for printer ink and paper, after years of ordering. Prices have crept up a bit but not so much that I've looked elsewhere. The reorder button saves me hunting for the same product each time. Delivery has been fine every time, usually the next working day.

Needed a new bike lock after mine got cut through outside the station, so I compared a few shops and this was the cheapest for the thicker chain type. Ordered on a Sunday and the confirmation email never arrived, so I had to ring them to check it had gone through. It did, and it came Wednesday, but that wait for an email was a bit annoying.

I compared a few sites for a set of plates for my new flat and these were the best value. The plates are a nice weight and the glaze looks good. The order was packed carefully and it arrived in two days. Happy with them.

I needed some plastic storage boxes for the spare room and wanted something that wouldn't cost much. Went for these because they were the best price per box I could find. Ordered in the evening and they turned up the following afternoon. The lids click on tight and they stack well. Good value.

Compared them against a well known high street chain for a pair of work boots and EMP came out a little dearer on the same model. Delivery was next day though and the boots arrived in a sturdy box with no damage. Took the boots back once for a half size and the return label was in the parcel, so that part was simple. Would still pick them over the chain.

I bought a box of nitrile gloves for the allotment shed and for cleaning the caravan, and the price per glove worked out better than anywhere else I checked. The only niggle is the delivery took four days when the site said two, but the box arrived fine and nothing was damaged. Ordering was simple, I just picked the size and paid.

Compared this with the big DIY chain for a box of wall plugs and screws, and this was a bit cheaper for the same brand. The plugs are the right size but the screws in the pack were a little bent. Delivery came the day after I ordered, which was good. I'd check the contents before using them.

I compared the big supermarket's online shop with this one before buying a set of kitchen towels and storage tubs. The supermarket wanted a minimum spend and delivery charges on top, whereas here I just got what I needed. The tubs are a decent thickness and fitted my drawers properly. Everything came in one box and I had it the next day. Glad I looked around first.

I bought a reading lamp for my husband's birthday and it arrived well packed within the week. The lamp is sturdy, the switch is easy to find in the dark, and the bulb fitted without any fuss. I did wonder whether it would be too bright but it's perfect for the chair by the window. I have ordered from them before and I'm happy to do so again.

I've been ordering from EMP for about six years now, mostly cleaning bits and the odd gift. The account login still works and my details stay saved, which saves me a lot of time. The parcels have always turned up when they said they would. Nothing has ever gone missing on me.

I ordered a pair of wiper blades for the van after the old ones started streaking. The listing said they fit my model and they did, first time. Delivery was next day and they were well wrapped. Fitting took five minutes with no problems. Good value for what they are.
