good value for the weekly shop
Cheapest way I have found to get decent fresh meals delivered without paying a subscription. Ordered six meals and it came to less than I expected. Packaging is recyclable too.

Read moreOrdered on a Monday for a Wednesday slot and the parcel turned up Friday with half the chilled items warm. I rang customer service and it took three days to get a reply, which was frustrating. The meals themselves are fine but I am not sure I will try again soon.
Read moreI needed a reliable way to get proper dinners on the table after my husband's hip op, when cooking standing up was out of the question. I've been ordering from ecookshop since they started and I've watched the menu change a lot over the years, most of it for the better. The meals reheat well and the staff on the phone have always been helpful when I've had a question about a dish.

Compared with the takeaway round the corner, this is a far more sensible option for a weeknight, and the meals reheat nicely without going soggy. The delivery window was a little wide, which I did not care for, but the driver was courteous. Ordering was simple enough on the laptop.
Needed something to feed the kids after football practice and ordered on my phone in the car. Had it on the doorstep the next afternoon, meals were simple and filling. Easy to reorder the same thing next week too.
Been ordering from them since they started and I have seen the menu change a lot over the years. Compared with the newer ones that have popped up, this still feels the most reliable and the staff answer the phone quickly when I have a query. Meals are as good as they ever were.
Bought the chicken tikka pack to try and it was lovely, nice and smoky with a good amount of chicken. Heated it up in ten minutes and it was ready to eat. Good value for a quick dinner after work.
I used to do my weekly shop at the big supermarket but this is a lot cheaper for the same sort of meals, and they arrive well packed. The portions are fair and I've not had a single dud yet, so I'm happy with it.
Ordered the veggie box for one on my phone during my lunch break. Delivery came on the Thursday as promised but the chickpeas were a bit squashed in the bag. Still good value and the recipe ideas are useful.
Ordered the spiced lamb meal kit last Friday for me and my flatmate and it was brilliant, everything was in the box and the portions were spot on. Sauce came in a sealed pouch so no mess. Only thing is the recipe card was a bit small to read while cooking.
Tried them for the first time to feed a few friends at my flat. Signing up took a couple of minutes and the first delivery came the next day. Food was tasty but the box took a while to get my card details accepted at checkout.

Compared with the big meal kit company I used before, this works out about a third cheaper per portion, and the meals taste just as good to me. Ingredients are measured out in little bags so there is less waste in the fridge. Delivery came in a day early which was nice. Worth a look if you cook for a family.
Knows his way around a kitchen so I was looking for proper flavour and the meals are fine rather than exciting. The sauces are on the mild side and I would have liked more heat. Delivery was smooth and the portions are generous, but for the price I expected a bit more.
Good food, comes when it should. Only snag was the app kept logging me out when I tried to change my delivery day, had to do it on the website instead. Would still order again.
The first thing I noticed was how big the portions are, the spiced rice alone could feed two of us with a bit left over. Price works out well per meal compared with the takeaway I was using. Only gripe is the delivery window was a bit wide and I had to wait in most of the afternoon.
I started ordering from them when my wife was working late most evenings and needed something quick to heat up. Been using them ever since and the quality has stayed pretty consistent, which is more than I can say for some places. The only thing that bugs me is the packaging, it's a lot of plastic for one dinner.
Ordered the mushroom risotto pack and it was a bit light on mushrooms compared with the picture on the site. Tasted fine though and the box was properly cold. Price is middling for what you get.
Went through three similar services before settling on this one. The menu is the most varied and the meals are properly cooked rather than sloppy. Price is fair and everything I ordered arrived on time.
Honestly the first thing that struck me was how little each portion costs once you add up the whole week. Meals are filling and I get two lunches out of most of them. Easy to order on my laptop and I'm saving money every week.
