Christow

Been ordering from Christow for years now and it's still our go to for the weekly shop. The slots are easy to pick and the substitutions are usually sensible. Only niggle is the minimum spend feels a bit high when we only need a few bits, but otherwise it's sorted.

Honestly it's way cheaper than the other grocery app I was using, same stuff for maybe a tenner less. Ordered on Sunday night and it came Tuesday morning, bit of a wait but fine. Nothing really went wrong, the driver was nice.

We needed a regular delivery that wasn't going to cost a fortune every week. I compared three sites and this one worked out cheapest for our list once the fees were in. The slots are reliable and nothing has gone missing so far.

Compared it with the big supermarket van I usually book and Christow is dearer on most things, no question. The site is much easier to get round though, and the search actually finds what I want first time. Delivery came in the window I picked but the driver was a bit rushed and missed a few items on the list. I've been a customer a long while so I'll keep using them.

I tried a couple of other grocery apps before settling on this one. The price on the basics is competitive and the order screen is clear. The delivery window I got was genuinely accurate and the driver was polite, so that's me sorted.

I ordered a sourdough loaf and a box of biscuits, which was a lovely idea on paper. Unfortunately the loaf had been pressed flat under the tins and the biscuits were in pieces. I did ring them and they were pleasant about it, but getting the refund took several days and I'm afraid I was not impressed.

Had people coming round last minute and needed mixers and snacks fast. Booked a slot the same evening and it all turned up on time. Didn't have to think about it at all, super handy.

We have been using them for about four years now and the regular shop is easy to set up once you have saved your list. My only gripe is that the delivery slots go quickly on a Sunday night, so I have had to book a day earlier than I'd like. The substitutions are usually sensible too, though a couple of times they gave us the wrong brand of oat milk and I had to sort it out by message.
