Compared with the big online furniture sellers, this was noticeably dearer for a similar sized sideboard. I went for it because the reviews talk about solid oak rather than veneer. The piece does feel heavier and better made than the cheaper one I looked at. Reply to my delivery query took about three days though, which was slow.

Needed a desk fast for my new flat so I was honestly stressed about it. Ordered on a Sunday night and it turned up the Wednesday, put it together in like twenty minutes with the little allen key they include. Dead sturdy, no wobble at all. Would get again.

Compared with the flatpack bookcase we bought from a supermarket years ago, this solid oak one is a different world. The joints are proper and it doesn't creak when you load it up. Delivery took a little longer than the site said but it came in one piece and that's what counts. Shelves are a touch heavy, but that's oak for you.

The piece arrived well wrapped and the carriers were courteous. It is a little more expensive than I would have liked, but the timber is good and I expect it to last.

The first thing I checked was the dovetail joints on the drawers, and they're cut cleanly with no gaps. Having restored a few old chests myself I know what to look for, and these are tight and square. The runners glide smoothly even with a full drawer. Wood grain is nicely matched across the front panels too. It is a well made piece for the money and I'd happily buy another.
