Central Heating

Got the boiler cover on here instead of the big supermarket one I had last year, and it works out about a third cheaper for the same cover. The sign up took about ten minutes and I could see exactly what was included before paying. Haven't had to call them yet so can't speak to claims, but the renewal reminder came through on time. Would go with them again.

Bought a Fernox style magnetic filter to go on the return pipe after the system had got sludgy. Fitted it myself with a bit of help from a mate, took about an hour, and the fittings all lined up with my existing pipework. Flow feels better already and the radiators are heating up evenly. Would have liked a slightly longer hose in the box but otherwise fine.

The engineer arrived within the window they gave me, which I didn't expect from a company I'd only found the night before. I'd been putting off getting the boiler looked at for months and the booking page made it really simple to pick a slot and pay. The engineer was polite, explained what he'd done and why, and left the place tidy. Only small thing was the confirmation email took a while to arrive, so I rang to check.

I'd been looking at a couple of other online heating shops and this one wasn't the cheapest for the same radiator valve, a few quid more than the other place I checked. Still fine though, the order went through without any fuss and the checkout was clear. The parts came a day later than the site said they would, which was a bit annoying but not a big deal. Would probably order again if I was in a hurry.

Honestly one of the easiest online orders I've done for a boiler part. I'd never used them before and was a bit nervous about ordering something so technical, but the site told me exactly which bits I needed for my make of boiler and the checkout was straightforward. Got a confirmation email straight away and the parts turned up two days later, well packed. Everything matched what was listed, so no complaints from me at all.

Went with the thermostat I bought from them years ago, and this time I used the smart version to replace the old wall one. The part arrived the next working day, packed well, and the instructions matched what was on the wall. Wiring was straightforward for a bloke who's done a bit of DIY over the years. Setting up the app took longer than the fitting did.

Rang them on a sunday morning with the heating off and a cold house, and someone picked up straight away. They talked me through the cover options and booked the visit for the next day, no waiting on hold and no fuss about it at all.

The boiler cover costs less per month than what I'd been paying for a single callout, so it pays for itself the first time something goes wrong. I compared it against two other providers and the cover levels were roughly the same. The annual service is included, and the callout fee is covered too, so there's no nasty surprise on the bill. Set up was quick and I'd take it again.
