Carbeth Plants

Way better than the supermarket ones I got last year, these actually have roots. Ordered on my phone in about two minutes, checkout was quick and no faff. Plants came next day and look proper healthy. Will be back for the herbs.

We needed seed potatoes early this year because our usual supplier had sold out. I was after a reliable variety that would crop well in our heavy soil without costing a fortune. The tubers were firm, sprouting nicely, and the price was lower than I'd paid before. Packed sensibly and arrived in good time for chitting.

This was my first time ordering from them, and I went with them over a big online garden shop because the reviews looked decent. The plants themselves are fine and the site was easy to use. The delivery charge is on the higher side for what I ordered, and it made the total feel steep. Plants came well protected and the roots were healthy, so I'd probably order again but might wait for a sale.

We needed a big batch of bedding plants for the allotment after the frost wiped out our first sowing, and I wanted something cheap that would actually survive the first few weeks. The trays arrived well packed, roots were healthy and the price per plant beat the garden centre by a fair bit. Watering instructions were clear on the label and they've all taken. Good value for a practical job, will order again in spring.

I bought a hanging basket of trailing petunias for the front porch, which I had been looking forward to for weeks. Sadly it arrived with several flowers already wilting and the compost looked rather dry. I did contact the site, and they replied within a day, but it took a while to sort out a replacement. The plant has recovered somewhat since I watered it properly.

The root balls on the shrubs were much bigger than I expected for the price, which is what sold me. Everything was watered in the box and the labels had planting depth on them. One small thing is the delivery window was a bit broad, but they texted me the morning of. Good value for a new garden.

Ordered a couple of blackcurrant and gooseberry bushes in the autumn and paid less than I'd have thought, which is the main reason I stuck with them. Plants were well rooted and packed properly, and they've taken to the border without any fuss.

I would say the plants themselves were fine, but the delivery took longer than I was told and the box was left on the doorstep in the rain. Two of the lavender plants had been knocked about and I had to ring them, which took a while to sort out, though they did send replacements and were polite about it.

These tomato plants are excellent and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. I ordered a selection of heirloom varieties for the greenhouse and each one was well labelled and healthy. Delivery was careful and the plants arrived on schedule. They have already set fruit, which is very pleasing.

Got a tray of mixed herbs, basil, mint and parsley, for the windowsill. They arrived in decent nick and most of them have taken off already. The mint pot was a bit smaller than the photo made it look but it's still good value for what you pay.
