My old trekking poles finally gave up on the Yorkshire moors so I needed a replacement before a trip in the spring. I've been buying kit from this lot for years and they have never let me down. Only small gripe is the return label took a while to print from the account page, but the poles were fine.
Read moreBought a tent footprint after reading a lot of reviews and knowing the spec I wanted. It arrived not quite as pictured, the colour was duller and the grommets on the corners were a different size to what the listing showed. Turned into a fiddly return because the label was for the wrong courier. Not what I expected from a shop this size.
Read moreOrdered a pair of walking gaiters on a Tuesday night and they turned up Thursday which was fine. The checkout asked me to make an account first which was a bit annoying when I just wanted to pay and go. Otherwise the sizing chart was clear and the gaiters fit my boots, no complaints really. Would order again for sure, just wish the account bit was optional.

Bought the down sleeping bag after looking at a few options and this one kept coming out top for warmth to weight. Packed small enough for my bag and it's been used on two wild camps since. Really happy with it.

Had my old boots resoled and then bought a new pair of leather walkers from them. The fit guide was spot on for my wide feet, and the staff on chat knew their stuff about the lacing and the insole options. Arrived well packed and quick. Really happy with it.

Compared about four outdoor retailers before settling on them and they came out ahead on the basics. The walking boots I ordered arrived in a few days, the sizing guide was actually accurate, and the returns page was clear when I needed to check the refund timing.
Best of the lot for the range and the way the site lets you filter by terrain and weight, which saved me a lot of time. Went with them over two other shops for a waterproof jacket. Prices were a bit higher than some of the rivals though, so I'd check elsewhere first if you're on a budget.
Tried a couple of other shops for a fleece and a base layer before going with these, and they were the clear winner on fit and fabric. The base layer is soft and dries fast on a long walk. Happy to order from them again.
