Read moreCompared with the auction sites, I found the prices here a fair bit more, though I did appreciate not having to bid on anything. The record player I ordered for my husband's birthday arrived safely, but it took nine days to turn up when the site said three to five. I did telephone them and the lady was pleasant enough, though it was a while before anyone got back to me properly about it.
Read moreThe price on the cassette player was a good deal compared with the auction sites, and it works well once plugged in. The thing that matters most to me though is the wait, which was nearly three weeks because the item was on backorder and nobody told me until I chased. It was a real nuisance and I had to ring to get a straight answer. The item itself is fine.

I needed something suitable for my brother's retirement and wanted it to feel a little bit special. The site was easy to browse and the ordering went smoothly, I found what I wanted without much fuss. The item came nicely presented and it was just as I'd hoped. Customer service answered my one question promptly, which I appreciated.
Ordered the little retro radio for the kitchen, it arrived on Tuesday. Setup was easy, just plug it in and tune. The only thing was the cord is shorter than I expected so it needs to sit near the socket.

I looked at a few places before choosing this one, and the prices here were lower than the big auction sites for the same sort of thing. Ordering was simple enough, though the checkout asked me to make an account first which was a bit annoying. Delivery was slower than I'd hoped, took about nine days, but the item arrived in one piece.
I needed a present for my dad's 60th and didn't want to spend much on it. Got a retro tin set here for less than the shops in town and it does the job. The only niggle is the tin came with a small dent on one side, nothing that matters once it's on the shelf, but I did notice it straight away. Would still get it again for the price.
I was after a retro radio for my kitchen and didn't know where to start, so I went with this site after a friend mentioned it. Ordering was simple enough, though the size guide was a bit vague about how big the radio actually is. It came well packed and arrived on the day it was due. Not sure yet whether it'll last but it looks right on the worktop.

Sending a gift to my sister in Scotland meant I needed something she'd treasure. I'm glad to say the vintage hand mirror I chose is a joy, and it arrived in good time. The packaging was careful and the card was tucked in nicely. I'd be very happy to order from them again.
I had a look at three other sites before going with this one, and it was a bit more than the cheapest I found. Still, the item looked better in person than I expected and the description was accurate. The order took a while to go through because the payment page kept timing out, so I had to try twice.
The first thing I noticed was how carefully the cassette player was wrapped, with the box padded out so nothing rattled. For what I paid it felt like good value, especially compared with the marketplace sellers I'd looked at for the same model type. Delivery was quick, arriving in three days. Nothing I'd change.
Verdict is it's a solid place to buy retro stuff, the range is good and the site is easy to use on my phone. Ordered a lamp and it came in good time.
Compared it with a couple of high street shops and a marketplace seller, and this came out cheapest once postage was added. The item was a bit smaller than the photos suggested, which didn't bother me much but worth knowing. Checkout was quick and I liked the order confirmation emails. Delivery took under a week, which was fine for what I paid.
I've been buying from them for about six years now and the detail that stands out most is how the little tin box comes wrapped in tissue, every single time. The prices have crept up a bit lately but the quality is still there. Delivery was quick again this month, which is more than I can say for some of the others I use.
The detail that stood out most to me was the careful wrapping, which made it look far more expensive than it was. The order was straightforward to place and everything arrived when they said it would. I was grateful the instructions for the item were clearly written. A thoughtful gift and I was very pleased with it.
Verdict is they know their stuff and the range is right for anyone into this era. Bought a reissue I'd been hunting for and the condition matched the listing. Delivery was prompt and the item was well protected.
Compared it with ebay and this was way easier, no bidding or waiting around for the auction to end. Ordered the radio for my flat and it turned up in two days. Looks proper nice on the windowsill too. Would get again.
Got this for my mum's birthday after seeing it on my mate's Instagram. Ordered on a Friday night and it turned up the following week, which was quick enough for me. Super cute packaging and she actually liked it, so result.
