Needed a quick reference

I needed a quick reference for changing the oil in our old estate car, and the step by step guide was exactly what I wanted. The torque figures are clearly listed and the photos match the bolts I actually had. I've been using the same guide for months now and it's never let me down.

The honest answer

Honestly, it's the most useful home energy resource I've found. The tariff comparisons are current and the explanations for the different meter types are spot on. Have recommended it to three neighbours already.

Needed help with my first car

I needed help with my first car because the garage quote was ridiculous and I had no idea what half the warning lights meant. A friend sent me the site and I started with the basic guide. It explained everything in plain English, and I'd never have worked out the timing belt thing without it.

still the one I trust

Still the one I trust for anything to do with the garden and the greenhouse. I've been a member since the early days and the content has only got better. Renewal was straightforward and the reminder emails are polite.

Still worth every penny

Five years in and it's still the first place I look when something goes wrong with the house. The guides are kept up to date and the forum answers come quickly. Never had a problem getting back in.

The seasonal calendar

The seasonal planting calendar is the detail I value most, and it's been spot on for our allotment. I've been a subscriber for years and the timings never seem to drift. Easy to print and pin on the shed wall.

The bathroom extractor fan

I bought the bathroom extractor fan guide after comparing three other sites, and this one had the clearest wiring instructions. The diagram matched my fan exactly, which saved me a lot of guesswork. Everything I needed was on one page.

Better than the forums

Compared to the forums I used before, this is far better organised and the answers actually match the manufacturer's manuals. I've used it for a dishwasher repair and a broken garage door opener. The price is fair for what you get, and everything I needed was in one place.

way quicker than my old method

Compared with ringing my dad every time something breaks, this is way quicker. Found the answer for my washing machine error code in about two minutes on my phone. Works well on the app too, which was a bonus because I'm always on the move and it loads fast even on a bad signal.

Cheaper than the alternatives

Compared to paying a tradesman call out fee, this is a far cheaper way to get a job done properly. I bought one guide for a leaking shower and it paid for itself straight away. Nothing extra to pay for each time you open it.
