Koa Coffee

Compared to the coffee shop bags I'd seen in Waitrose, these are fresher and the flavour is much more interesting. I'd never ordered from a roaster directly before so was a bit nervous, but the checkout was easy. Going to try the seasonal blend next.

We've been ordering from them since the kids were small and we needed something reliable for the weekly coffee routine at home, and they have never let us down. The beans arrive fresh every time and the grind is spot on for our cafetiere. Wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Ordered the Colombian single origin on my phone while waiting for the kettle, and it arrived the next day in a bag that smelled great. The beans are even and the cup is sweet with a caramel note. Grinding them fresh makes a real difference, I'd say.

Picked up the single origin Ethiopian bag because I've been roasting my own for a few years and wanted to see how a professional roaster handled a light roast. The tasting notes on the site were accurate, bright citrus and jasmine, and the roast date was clearly printed. Only thing that bugs me is the bag is a bit small for the price.

I bought the espresso blend for my machine at home, which I have owned for almost twenty years and never managed to get a proper crema from until now. The beans are freshly roasted, and the crema is rich and lasting. I'd recommend keeping the grind fine, though that's really my own fault for not reading the instructions.

I'd say this is a very good supplier, and I have no complaints about the coffee itself. The staff were courteous when I rang with a question about my order, and the parcel turned up when they said it would. I shall certainly be ordering again.

The price per kilo was the first thing I noticed, and it's higher than the big online roasters I normally buy from. The beans are fresh and tasty, the roast date is clear, and delivery was quick. For the money I expected a slightly bigger bag than I got.

Coffee is the reason I'm forever on this site, and the house blend is the one I keep coming back to. The chocolate and nut notes are spot on, no roast flavour overpowering the bean. Roast is consistent batch to batch, which is what I look for.

Honestly it's good coffee but you pay for it. The beans are lovely and the bag keeps them fresh, but I was looking at the price and thinking I could get a similar thing from the supermarket for less. Delivery was fine, came in a couple of days. Would maybe treat myself again rather than buy weekly.

I'd tried three decafs from different places before this, and the one from Koa was the first that didn't taste like cardboard. I went for the decaf house blend and it's got proper chocolate and caramel notes. Really happy with it.

Ran out of beans on a Friday and needed something for the weekend before the shops shut, so I went straight to the site on my phone. Checkout was quick and the order was dispatched the same day. The beans are good, a nice medium roast that suits my cafetiere.

Compared to the cheap supermarket beans I used to get, this is a massive upgrade. The flavour is so much cleaner and it doesn't leave that burnt aftertaste. Totally worth the extra quid for a daily flat white.

I'd read the reviews and the roast notes made it sound like a proper chocolatey dark roast, but what turned up was much lighter and sourer than described. I don't mind a bit of acidity but this was a bit much for my usual brewing method. I contacted the team and they were polite but it took a few days to hear back. Not for me, sadly.

Compared to the supermarket own brand I'd been buying, this is a clear step up in flavour, though not by as much as I'd hoped. The beans are noticeably fresher and the espresso pulls nicer. It costs quite a bit more though, so I'm not sure it's a permanent switch.

Needed a coffee that wasn't too dark for my moka pot and the site had a filter in the description so I went for it. Nice smooth result, no bitterness. Took a day longer to arrive than they said but no biggie.

Ordered on my phone during the ad break and it was done in like two minutes. Arrived the next day, bag smelled amazing when I opened it. Coffee tastes way nicer than the stuff from Tesco so yeah, I'll be back for sure.

Wanted to try a few things before committing so I got the sampler and it's a good way to do it. Couple of the beans were a bit too light for me but the others are great. Would order again for the house blend.

the roast date on the bag is what got me, it was like two days old. tastes proper good in the morning. ordered on a whim and will def be back.

Compared with the tins of coffee I used to collect from the supermarket, this is quite a different thing altogether. I was rather sceptical at first, but the aroma when I opened the bag was lovely and the cup is smooth without being bitter. The site was easy to navigate and I placed my order without any bother. I've been ordering it every month since and shan't be going back.
