Way nicer than the big online shop

I know my sourdough and this bakery box is nothing like the big online shop loaves, which come out soft. The crust on these was proper and the crumb held up for toast the next day. Only issue was one loaf was a bit squashed in transit but the rest were fine.

The fish fingers were the surprise

I did not expect the fish fingers to be so good, they were thick and properly crumbed rather than the thin sort. Ordering was a little slow to load on my tablet, but the rest of the process was smooth. The delivery arrived with a short delay, though the goods were fine when they reached me.

Needed something quick for a Sunday

We had a full house coming for lunch and the shop had let us down, so I needed a supplier that could do a big order at short notice. The ordering was easy and the bundle price was good value for a family of six. Delivery was a bit later than the window they gave but nothing to moan about.

Still reliable after all these years

The weekly order was on the doorstep before 9 like always, and the driver remembered to leave the box in the porch out of the rain. Ordering online has got a bit fiddlier since their last site update, the basket keeps resetting if I'm slow, but the produce is still good. I've been with them since they started, so I'm not about to leave over a clunky checkout.

Good butcher, slow phone reply

Ordered the mince and the chicken thighs for the freezer, both arrived frozen solid and well packed. Only gripe is I emailed about a substitution on the thighs and it took two days to get a reply. Otherwise sorted, will use again.

Decent for a weekly top up

We needed a regular delivery of cleaning and kitchen stuff plus some fresh bits, and this site is cheaper than the local shop for the bigger items. Ordering is simple and the substitutions were fine. The only thing is the minimum spend is a bit high for just a few items.

Compared it with my usual wine merchant

I've been buying from a local wine merchant for years so I checked this against them before ordering. This site was cheaper on most of the bottles I wanted, though the delivery charge takes a bit of the shine off it. The wine itself was in good condition and the descriptions matched what I got. Ordering was easy and I'd happily use them again for a case when the price is right.
