Far better than the cheap scales

The cheap scales I used before gave wild readings from one day to the next. This one is far more consistent and the app lines the results up nicely. Setup took about ten minutes. Easy to use and worth the money.

the ECG feature actually works

I bought the ECG watch mainly for the heart rhythm reading, and it works properly. The app shows the trace clearly and the setup was straightforward. Battery is fine and the strap is comfortable. Just the notifications could be a bit more customisable.

Sleep mat over a band

I looked at a few sleep trackers before going with the under-mattress one, mainly because I didn't want anything on my wrist. It's been a bit slow to pick up the early nights but I'm getting useful data now. Price was reasonable compared with the others. The mat itself is thin and easy to slide under the bed.

good value for a home scale

Went with these over the Fitbit-style trackers and the Withings scale was clearly the better buy for weighing myself at home. Set it up in about ten minutes on the app and the readings have been steady since I started using it in March.

Needed something to track sleep without a wearable

I kept waking up knackered and didn't want to strap anything to my wrist at night, so I went looking for something under the mattress. The sleep tracking mat was the sensible option and worked out cheaper than a watch with the same features. It picks up my sleep cycles and the app gives a simple score each morning. Setup took five minutes and it hasn't needed charging once, which is a relief.

good value and it arrived quickly

The price was the main reason I went with them, and it's noticeably cheaper than the other smart scales I was comparing. It arrived two days after ordering, well packed, and the app pairs straight away. I've been weighing myself every morning for a month now and the numbers make sense. Nothing to complain about for the money.

Heart rate watch works

Bought it for the ECG reading and it works, got a clear trace in about thirty seconds. Setup was quick on my phone and the app syncs without fuss. Good kit.

far easier than my old machine

My previous monitor needed a fiddly manual entry each time and I'd often forget to write the figures down. This one takes the reading and sends it to the app on my phone, which my daughter set up for me. The cuff is comfortable and I've had no trouble with it. I'm very pleased with it, thank you.

Needed to keep an eye on my heart rate

After a scare with a racing heart my doctor asked me to keep track of it at home, so I ordered the ECG device that works with the app. It cost more than a basic tracker but it's the only one I found that does the proper heart rhythm check. The readings come through clearly and I've shared a few with my GP. Delivery was prompt and the instructions were clear enough.

better than the old scales by miles

I've been using their smart scales for about four years now and before that I had a cheap dial scale from the supermarket that never agreed with the gym. These sync straight to the app every morning without me doing anything, and the trend graph is what keeps me honest. The battery has lasted ages too. I've bought two more for family since.

Decent scale but the app took a while

The scale itself was the first thing I noticed, it's solid and the readings are consistent day to day. Setting up the app took longer than I wanted though, it kept asking me to re-enter my details and the pairing failed twice before it connected. Once it was going it's fine and worth the money compared with the gadgets I looked at.

The screen is tiny

The screen on the watch is smaller than I expected from the photos, so reading the notifications takes a second look. Otherwise it does the step count and heart rate fine and the battery lasts a few days. Delivery was quick and the strap fits. Just bear in mind the display is quite small.

Reading kept dropping out

Needed a home blood pressure monitor after the doctor suggested it, so I bought one from the site. The first unit kept dropping the Bluetooth connection to the app, which meant readings going missing. I had to contact support and it took nearly a week to get a replacement sorted. The replacement works but the whole thing was more faff than I expected.

The app is fiddly

I needed something to track my weight after my doctor's advice and the scale does give accurate readings. The app is fiddly though and it took a few tries to link the scale to my account. Once it was set up it has been reliable. Not the most intuitive experience.

Better than the gym scales

Compared with the scales at the gym, these are far more useful because the readings save straight to my phone. I've been using them for years now and the numbers are steady week to week. The app gives a clear graph of progress. Battery lasts ages and I've never had a problem.

does what I wanted for the money

Good for the price and the app is easy enough to use. I'm new to this sort of thing so I was a bit worried, but the setup guide was clear. The one thing I'd note is the app takes a while to sync the first time. Happy with it so far.

Very pleased indeed

I am very pleased with the blood pressure monitor I bought for myself after my husband's heart trouble. The readings are easy to follow and the app sends them to my daughter as well, which puts her mind at rest. The cuff is gentle on the arm and the whole thing was simple to set up with the instructions provided. I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend, and I have already done so.

bought the blood pressure cuff for mum

Got the upper arm blood pressure monitor for my mum who needed to track hers after her GP visit. It cost less than the chemist version and the readings go straight to the app so she doesn't have to write anything down. Cuff is comfortable and fits her arm fine. Easy to use, she manages it herself now.

the smart scale still going strong

I've had the smart scale for five years now and it's still reading accurately. Setup was easy and the app keeps the history for every weigh-in. Replaced the batteries once and that was the only thing I've needed to do. Would happily buy the same again.

first time with a blood pressure monitor

The cuff arrived with a clear guide and the app pairs straight away, which surprised me since I'd never used one before. The first reading was a bit different from what the GP got, but the readings have stayed consistent since. Happy with it so far, I think I'll stick with it.

Withings is a French company that designs connected health devices, including smart scales, activity trackers, smartwatches, blood pressure monitors and sleep analysers. Its products sync with a companion app that tracks weight, body composition, heart rhythm, sleep and daily activity over time. Withings sells its range through its own website as well as through electronics and health retailers, and devices are supplied with the app needed to use them. The company is known for pairing hardware with software that presents long-term trends rather than single readings, which sets its ecosystem apart from simpler fitness gadgets.
