Meal plan for a busy week

Needed something to stop me living on toast when I'm doing late shifts at the hospital and never know when I'll be home. The meals are built around protein and veg, so I stopped reaching for the crisps around nine o'clock. Reheating takes about three minutes and the portions fill me up properly. I've been ordering the same plan for four months now and it's taken a lot of the thinking out of my weeknights.

needed something for the diabetes

I needed something I could rely on after my GP flagged my blood sugar, and I'd spent ages reading labels in the shop with no real idea what I was looking at. The meals here show the carb and sugar figures clearly, and the portion sizes are sensible without feeling like diet food. I can plan my lunches around it now, and the portion sizes stay the same week to week, which I did not expect from a meal plan.

The protein shake pouches

I bought the protein shake pouches to take to the gym because I was fed up of carrying tubs around. I'd compared a few brands first and these were the only ones that didn't taste chalky when mixed with cold water. I've been using them after classes for about two months now, and the delivery has never been late. Ordering is simple and I like that I can pause the subscription without phoning anyone.

Does the job

Does the job for me and the price has been fair since I started. Signing up was painless and the box turned up when it was meant to. I wouldn't change anything.

the soup range every winter

I've been ordering the soup range for about four years now, mostly the lentil and the leek one. The tubs arrive cold in the insulated bag and the dates have always been good. Customer service has answered every email I've sent within a day, and once they refunded a tub I wasn't happy with without any fuss at all.

The protein counts are spot on

The protein counts on the packaging are spot on, which I noticed because I weigh my food for training and most brands round things up. I'd used a couple of other ready meal brands before and they were usually off by a fair bit. Delivery was on time and the box kept everything cold. The only downside is that the flavour variety is a bit limited for the price.

Not quite as cheap as the supermarket

Compared with buying the same ingredients from the supermarket, this works out a fair bit more expensive, which I had not quite appreciated when I signed up. That said, the portions are generous and I haven't had to throw anything away, so it balances out a little. The recipe cards are clear and the box arrived well packed. I'd still buy again, though I'll keep an eye on the cost.

would keep buying

I'd keep buying this, as it's been a sensible option for me since my wife passed and I started cooking less. The box is the right size for one person and the instructions are printed in plain type that I can read without my glasses. Customer service rang me back the same afternoon when a pack was damaged. The price is fair given what's in the box.

Proper portions for the price

The portions are the first thing I noticed, they're not the tiny pots you get elsewhere. I looked at three other meal plans before settling on this one. Ordering was easy and the box turned up on the day they said. Would happily go again.

Better than the other plans i tried

Compared with the other plans I tried last year, this one is far more sensible about calories and actually explains why each meal is built the way it is. I'd been on a couple of apps that just counted everything for me and I got bored quickly. The recipes here use ingredients I can get at the big supermarkets, so it doesn't feel like a special diet. Deliveries have been reliable and the packaging is mostly recyclable.

great first box

Great first box, honestly, and I was not expecting it to be this easy to sort out. I signed up on my phone in a few minutes and the delivery arrived the next day. Everything was labelled, the meals were tasty and I've already ordered the second box.

the tub that opens easily

I bought the soup range for my lunches, and the tub that opens easily without a knife was the detail that caught my eye. I'm not as nimble as I used to be, so this was a welcome change from what I'd been buying. The soups are filling and the labels are big enough to read. Delivery has been reliable and the order was simple to change.

Cheaper than i expected

I needed something cheap and cheerful for lunches at work, and this came out cheaper per meal than buying sandwiches every day. Signing up was easy and I could skip weeks without any fuss. The meals heat up in about three minutes and I'm not left feeling starving by four o'clock.

Good but the delivery window

I compared a few meal plans before picking this one and the calorie breakdown was the detail that sold me. The food is decent and the portions are fine. My only gripe is the delivery window, which is a bit broad and I had to wait in for most of the morning. Price is a little higher than doing my own shop, but that's fair for what it is.

Worth the money for us

It's worth the money, especially if you're feeding two adults and want to stop buying three different things at the supermarket. We got through the first month for less than we were spending on ready meals. The bags arrive in a cool box and nothing was warm or squashed. I'd say the portions are fair for the price and we haven't had to top up with extra food.

better than the big supermarket option

Compared with the big supermarket meal deal I used to get, this is a bit more on the pricey side but the food is noticeably fresher and tastes more like proper home cooking. I like that the ingredients are listed clearly and I can see calories without digging through the small print. Deliveries came on time both times and the drop-off was fine. Would use again.

Sorted my weekly food

I needed something to stop me buying a sandwich every lunchtime, which was costing me a fortune. The meals reheat well and the instructions on the box are clear enough that I don't have to think about them. The sign up took a little longer than I'd have liked because I had to fiddle with my delivery address twice. Once it was going it's been reliable and the portions keep me going through the afternoon.

the portions are huge

The portions are huge, which was the first thing I noticed compared with the other meal plans I looked at. Ordering was quick and the box arrived the next morning. Good value.

The delivery took a while to sort

I bought the starter pack for my husband after his hospital stay, as the dietitian suggested something lighter and more balanced. The food itself is fine and the meals are straightforward to heat. However my first delivery was missed and it took nearly a week for anyone to reply to my email, which I found rather frustrating when we needed it. Once things were sorted the replacement arrived properly, though I would have liked a quicker response.

Nicer than the big supermarket

I used to rely on the big supermarket ready meals, but I'm afraid they were always rather salty and a bit sad. Compared with those, these taste like something I'd cook myself if I had the energy. The site was simple to use and my delivery arrived exactly when promised. I've recommended it to my neighbour.
