Still going strong after years

Been a member for going on five years now and I would not go back to doing it by myself. The plans have changed a few times as my health has changed, and each time the team have adjusted things without me having to chase them. Renewals are simple and the price has stayed where I expected. Happy to keep paying for it.

needed a plan that fit my budget

I was skint and needed to eat better without spending a fortune on fancy food. The plan uses ordinary supermarket ingredients, so the weekly shop is no dearer than before. Setting it up took a few minutes and I could cancel whenever I liked, which I liked.

The weekly reminders are a godsend

What struck me most was the weekly reminder email, which sets out the week's meals in a plain layout I can actually read without my glasses. I was a little apprehensive about changing my eating habits at my age, but the portions are sensible and nothing feels like punishment. The dietitian's advice in the monthly newsletter has been useful and well explained. I'm pleased with how it has gone so far.

better value than the clinic I went to

I had considered a private dietitian clinic first, but the cost per session was rather more than I could justify each month. Signing up here was straightforward and I was pleased with how the plan was explained in plain terms, without any jargon. The meals are sensible and I have found I'm no longer guessing at portions. I'd happily carry on with it.

Sign up took ages

Bought the starter plan and the sign up took a good while, there were a lot of screens asking for the same details. Once I was in it was fine and the first meals were OK. Price is a bit steep for a student budget though, I'd expect it to be cheaper for what you get.

first time trying a plan

I wanted to lose a bit of weight before a wedding and decided to try a structured plan for the first time. The sign up asked lots of questions about my health and goals, which took longer than I expected. The first week of meals arrived a day late, though customer services sorted a message back to me quickly. The food is tasty enough and I have got the hang of the portions now.

Good value for the money

Works out cheaper than what I was spending on lunches and the odd takeaway, which was the whole point for me. Signed up on the monthly plan and the price stayed the same, no nasty surprises on the card. The meals are filling enough that I'm not raiding the biscuit tin by four o'clock. Good sensible value.

the calorie breakdown really helps

The calorie breakdown per meal is the bit I find most useful, I can see exactly where the day's energy is going. I have been on it for close to two years now and it's become second nature. The one niggle is that the app sometimes lags when I'm adding a new food, which is a bit annoying when I'm in a rush. Otherwise I'm happy with how it works and the advice has been sound.

Been on it since the start

I signed up when they first launched and I've been on it ever since, which tells you something. I needed a proper structure for my eating after my husband passed and cooking for one had gone to pieces. The meal ideas have kept coming, the app has got better over the years, and the customer team have always been decent when I've had a question. The price is fair for what it covers and I have no plans to stop.

Nicer than the other app

Used to use another calorie app and this one is way less cluttered. Recipes look nicer and the logging is quicker. Only thing is the free trial pushes you to pay quite fast, but otherwise it's good.

really easy to use

Honest verdict, it's easy and I've stuck with it. The app is simple, the meal ideas are decent and the tracker takes seconds. Price is fine for a student. Would do it again.

Tried three before settling on this

Before picking this I looked at two other meal plans and a local nutritionist. This one came out ahead on the menus, which are varied enough that I don't get bored of them by week three. The other services were more expensive for similar food, and the nutritionist was lovely but wanted a fortnightly fee. The app is simple and I've been following the plan steadily for two months with good results.

ready meals went down well

Ordered the ready meal pack to see how the portions compared to what I'd been making. The packaging was tidy and the meals reheated in the microwave in about four minutes. Some of the sauces were a bit salty for my taste but I can see why they did it.

Meal plan for the month

Got the four week meal plan with the add on shopping lists. For the money it's decent, works out a bit cheaper than buying the same bits from the supermarket one at a time. The lists are handy but a couple of ingredients were listed in the wrong quantity for two people so I had to adjust. Otherwise the recipes are simple and the portions are about right for me.

The weekly email is spot on

The weekly email with the whole week's meals in one go is the best bit, I just forward it to my flatmate and we shop from it. Got the app going on my phone in about five minutes. Only thing is the recipe photos are a bit small on mobile but you can tap them. Would do it again.

better than the apps I tried before

I've used a couple of calorie apps before and they were all fiddly with the food database. This one has far fewer duplicate entries and the custom recipes are easy to save. Compared with the others the meal suggestions are more realistic for someone who cooks at home. I've stuck with it for a few months and the logging is second nature now.

The shopping list saves me loads of time

The shopping list that comes with each week is what I use most, it's grouped by aisle so I'm not doubling back round the shop. I've got two kids and I'm always on my phone in the queue at school pick up, and the app loads fine even on a patchy connection. Cooking from the plan has cut my food waste down a lot too.

the bulk pack was a good call

Got the bulk meal prep pack for the first month. Each meal came in a sealed tray with the reheat instructions printed on the lid, which saved me working it out. Good size portions, I was full most nights and the flavours weren't samey. For the price it's a fair deal compared with buying everything from the shop and cooking from scratch.

Needed something to stop the snacking

I'd been struggling with late night snacking for ages and needed something with proper structure behind it, so a dietitian friend pointed me here. The plans are laid out by week with a shopping list for each one, and the recipes are short enough that I actually cook them on a weeknight rather than giving up and ordering a takeaway. Two months in and I've lost a bit and my energy has settled.

Worth every penny

Good value for what you get. The meal plan covers the whole week and the shopping list saves me going round the shop twice. Cancelling was easy when I needed a break and I was sorted in a couple of minutes. Would sign up again.
