airport transfer booked for a group
I book airport transfers for a living so I know the difference between a good firm and a poor one. I used Kiwitaxi to move a group of six from Heathrow to a hotel in Reading with two large cases each. The booking form asked for the luggage count which I appreciated, and the vehicle they sent was the size I had requested. The driver loaded everything without being asked and the handover was calm…

Needed a taxi for my mother
I needed a taxi to take my mother to her hospital appointment at short notice, as her usual lift had fallen through. I did find the booking screen a little fiddly as I am not used to apps, and it was not clear at first where to enter the pickup address. The car did arrive, though it was about fifteen minutes later than I was told, and I did not get a call to say so.

Needed a cheap way to get to gatwick
We needed a way to get from the flat in Croydon to Gatwick at 4am with two suitcases and no car, and the train was not running that early. Kiwitaxi quoted a fixed fee at the time of booking and the driver was waiting outside when we came down, which was what we wanted. The price was lower than the two local firms we checked first and there were no surprises on the card afterwards.
Read morequoted price was clear
The price shown at the start was the one I paid, which I did not expect after checking three other sites that added extras at the end. The booking page was a bit slow to load on my phone but it went through first time. Driver was on time and polite. Only small gripe was the confirmation email took a few minutes to arrive.
Booked a cab after comparing a few apps
I booked a cab for the run from Cardiff to Newport after checking a few apps first. This one was the cheapest by a bit and the driver was on time. The only thing that got on my nerves was the pickup pin being a few streets out, so I had to walk to the right corner.
Good value for the airport run
Good value for the run to the airport, cheaper than the big names I usually check. Booking took a little longer than I'd like because the app asked me to re-enter my card, but the fare was what I was quoted and the driver was on time.
Good for a quick cab
Would use them again for a quick ride into town, the car was clean and the driver didn't talk much which was fine by me. Booked on the app in about a minute and it turned up in five, bit of a wait at the end though because the driver couldn't find the entrance. Still good.
Compared a few firms before booking
Looked at three other taxi firms for the run from Reading to Heathrow and this one was the cheapest by a fair margin once the fees were added, which I didn't expect. The booking took about a minute on the app and the driver rang when he was outside. Only niggle was the route, he went round the M25 the long way and I'd have liked a quick explanation. Still happy enough with it.
