Sefton Meadows Garden Centre

Anyone who has bought timber knows the difference between kiln dried and wet wood, and this lot was properly dry. The sections were straight and square, which matters for a shed base. I've built a few sheds and this was among the better stock I've used. Ordered online, collected the delivery without problem.

I ordered a cordless hedge trimmer from them last month, and it arrived in good time, which I was pleased about. The instructions were clear enough, though I did have to ring the helpline twice to sort out the battery charger, and nobody seemed to know the answer straight away.

Really happy with my first order from them, everything arrived quickly and well packed. I'd been looking at a few places for bits for the back garden and this was the one I stuck with. The plants were healthy and the compost was the proper stuff, not the cheap bags from the supermarket. Checkout was simple and I got an email update at every stage. Will be ordering again in spring when the bedding plants come in.

Compared a couple of pond kits before ordering, and the liner was thicker than the ones I'd been looking at elsewhere. The plants that came with it were a nice mix of oxygenators and marginals. Delivery was on time and the box was packed sensibly. Checkout had a useful size guide which saved me measuring twice. Pleased with it.

Compared with the big DIY shed nearby, their prices on decking stain were a fair bit lower. I'd checked three other sites before picking this one. The order came through without fuss and the tin was sealed properly. Good value for what you get.

I usually buy my bird seed from the local feed merchant, but I compared this site with two others and it came out ahead on price once delivery was counted. The seed was fresh and the mix is exactly as described. The order was prepared carefully and the delivery person knocked and waited for me to come to the door. I'm content with the service and will order again when the feeders need topping up.

Went through several fence panel suppliers before I settled on this one. The price was competitive and the panels came in good order with no splits. The order came on a single lorry and the driver was patient about where to unload. Everything matched the order, which is what I wanted.

We needed a replacement mower after the old one packed in halfway through the spring cut. I compared a few places and this one had the best price for the model range I wanted. The ordering was easy to follow and they asked whether I wanted it assembled. It arrived on a pallet and the driver helped me get it off the lorry. Very pleased with the whole thing.

I was delighted with my order of seed potatoes, which came exactly when they said they would. The instructions were clear and the varieties were well labelled. I'd recommend the site to any keen gardener, and I expect I shall be a regular customer for years to come.

Looked at a few hose reels before choosing this one, mostly on price and how sturdy the frame looked. Ordered on a Sunday and it was here by the Wednesday. The hose doesn't kink and the reel turns smoothly. Nice bit of kit for the money.

We needed a sturdier rake for clearing the leaves from the lawn, the old one had lost half its tines. The rake arrived promptly and is very well made. I found the ordering simple and the staff on the phone were helpful when I had a question. Thank you.

I usually buy from the nursery in the village, but this site's selection of hardy perennials was far more generous than what I could find locally. The plants arrived in tidy trays and were very healthy. I'd say the ordering was less fuss than I expected for a first purchase. Quite pleased.

I'd never bought anything for the garden online before, so I was a bit nervous. The feeder came well wrapped and sturdy, the squirrel guard fits perfectly. Website was straightforward to use. Birds have already found it so I'm chuffed.

Bought a bag of grass seed and a spreader, and the value is hard to beat for what you get. The spreader works evenly and the seed germinated well. Ordering took a few minutes and the parcel was there the next day. Not much to fault.
