Compared it with the shop I used to buy from and the difference is obvious, the range on the site is wider and the stock actually matches what's listed. Ordering was quick, I'd been bracing for a faff but it took about five minutes. Packed well too, nothing rattled about. I know this stuff well enough to say the spec is accurate, which is what I care about most.
Read moreI needed a cheap reel for a mate's birthday and went with them because the price looked good. The reel arrived with a cracked spool and the returns process was a pain, I had to fill in a form, wait for an email and then post it back at my own cost. The price was low but the whole thing took three weeks to sort out and I'd think twice before ordering again.
Read moreI ordered a waterproof fishing jacket for my husband's birthday and it arrived within the week, which I was pleased about. The sizing chart was a little generous compared with what I expected, so we did have to exchange it for a smaller one. The second one fitted him beautifully and the material feels sturdy. The customer team were polite when I rang about the swap.

I ordered a fishing reel and it came exactly as pictured on the site. The checkout was easy enough, though I did have to re-enter my postcode twice. Delivery was a touch slow but the reel itself is what I wanted.
The best thing was the price per item once I added up a bundle, which was noticeably lower than the other places I checked. Delivery took a couple of days longer than the site suggested but it arrived. For the money I think it's a sensible choice for everyday gear.
They came out on top for me after comparing a few shops for a new head torch and a bivvy bag. Range was good and the prices were a bit better than the big outdoor chains. Delivery took a bit longer than advertised, around four days, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. The product descriptions are detailed and helpful when you're trying to choose.
