The weekly scoring is the bit I like most, you can see who's earning points and why, which makes it easy to tweak your team. Came from a different app and this one feels a lot less cluttered. Signed up on my phone during the lunch break and had cards in my account before I'd finished my sandwich. Really good fun so far, and the trading side is quick enough that I don't feel like I'm waiting…

Took me about ten minutes to get going and I've already been having a go at trading cards with mates, which is the bit I didn't expect to enjoy. Only thing is the market can be a bit slow at weekends.

SoRare is an online platform that sells digital football trading cards, which are non-fungible tokens built on the Ethereum blockchain. Each card represents a real player from football clubs around the world and is sold in limited editions, with owners able to trade cards with one another on the platform. The service is built around a fantasy football game in which collectors enter their cards into weekly line-ups and compete for rewards based on how their players perform in real matches.
SoRare works with a range of professional football clubs and leagues, which supply player data and licence their names and imagery for use on the platform. Collectors access the service through a web browser and can buy packs of cards, list them for sale on the marketplace or hold them in a digital wallet.
